Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
In honor of the North Georgia COGOP Youth Day...
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Francis Chan gives a great illustration of the timeline of our existence. What are we doing with our short time here on this earth?
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 But as He which hath called you is Holy, so be ye Holy in all manner of conversation; 1 Peter 1:15
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9 This is the stuff that drives me crazy This is the stuff that's getting to me lately In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I'm blessed This is the stuff that gets under my skin But I've gotta trust You know exactly what You're doing Might not be what I would choose But this the stuff You use I think Francesca Battistelli must have wrote this song just for me! This song fits my "season" of life perfectly (well, except for the speeding ticket). This is exactly how I've felt these past few weeks! You drop everything you pick up, nothing goes as planned. You've run yourself ragged all day, but yet you haven't accomplished a thing! Why do we let this "stuff" get under our skin and ruin our whole day? We've all heard the phrase "don't sweat the small stuff", but that's easier said than done! No, what we should remember is that God has a plan for our lives and that no matter how bad we may mess it up, He's still God and He's still in control! I just love the Bridge of this song -- So break me of impatience Conquer my frustrations I've got a new appreciation It's not the end of the world. Now if I can just remember this after a really frustrating day, I'll be doing good! Sometimes music is the best remedy for our situation. What song (old or new) fits your "season" of life?
