Be Who You Are - Pastor Thomas Holmes

Ephesians 1:1-5 - Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will

Holiness is being what we already are through the transformation of the blood.

We can't let ourselves be blown around...we have to stand firm in our beliefs.

Identity and Action go together. They are inseparable. What you do in a situation tells who you are. Your identity is known by your actions.

2 Peter 1:4 - Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When's the last time you shook Jesus...when your prayers shook heaven?

We need to quit waiting on God to reach down and touch us...we need to touch him with our heartfelt urgent prayers!

Mark 4:39 - And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

When Jesus rebuked the wind and said Peace, be still it happened immediately! Immediately mean right now! Not hours, days, weeks or months down the road. God's able to do things immediately in our situations. We need to quit thinking that God's not going to answer our prayers. Sometimes it seems we go to the Lord with the wrong attitude. You should be praying a prayer of Faith and not a prayer of doubt!
